Civic University Agreement.
Identity, brochure, banners & digital assets.

Client:
The UK Civic University Commission challenged universities to re-shape their role and responsibility to meet the needs and support of the challenges in their communities, and set this out in a published Civic University Agreement.

As such, Sheffield Hallam University wanted to produce a series of reports highlighting and showcasing the large amount of civic work and research that is undertaken by the organisation that has a huge benefit to the local region and it's many communities.

Of these many areas of work, 4 key priorities were identified and became the core themes to publications going forward:

• Our Economy and Jobs
• Our Education and Skills
• Our Health and Wellbeing
• Our Community and Regeneration

Project:
Working with the External Engagement team at Sheffield Hallam University, and in collaboration with the In-House team at Hallam, I was asked to design and deliver a coherent and relevant visual identity and suite of key marketing assets to support the external and internal articulation of Sheffield Hallam’s Civic University Agreement across a range of audience groups and communication channels.

The Agreement was officially launched with the support of South Yorkshire Mayor, Dan Jarvis MP, who has committed funding to help deliver the plan and Sheffield Hallam University Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Richard Calvert.

Other deliverables also included a corporate brochure, roller banners, and iconography/symbols from the visual identity (representing key themes) to be used across a website, social media, press release and video.

Testimonial:
“We came to Helen with quite a complicated idea that needed to carefully balance creative flair with an understanding of the different audiences we were trying to engage (internally and externally). Thankfully, Helen understood what we were trying to achieve instantly and came back with a clever concept which brought our whole Civic University Agreement to life. Creative with the designs, speedy with the output, and really easy to work with throughout the whole project, I would absolutely recommend Helen to anyone looking for a creative and professional freelance designer.”

Martin Webb, External Engagement Manager, Sheffield Hallam University.
